Mirijana is a very kind, energetic and very stylish entrepreneur, stylist, blogger and above all a beautiful young woman. I met her at the event of the entrepreneurial course we both attend, and we immediately clicked. Mirijana is one of those girls who shine warmth and happiness from the inside and outside, and this is probably due to her passion. She loves what she is doing and believes in it.
She immediately confirmed her participance in the project when I asked her if I can make some photos of her.
She shared her thoughts on beauty, media and self-confidence:
The day that I looked myself in the mirror and thought to myself »you look beautiful today« was the day that I've grown up. The first day, that I wasn't worried about my waist looking tiny and sucking it in thinking it will disappear when I do so, or my skin looking like it was perfectly sun kissed with a touch of shimmer. That day I realised there are so many things more important than those superficial things. And I was happy… truly happy. From that day on I couldn't care less if someone thought »she gained weight« »What the f*** is she wearing?« - I got that almost every day, believe me when I say that…. Well on the other hand, I was not walking through the streets of New York, but that's not the point. From that day on, I feel good in my skin and nobody can take that from me. Don't get me wrong, there are still those days, when I feel disgusting to myself, but then there's the love of my life, who makes me feel beautiful again (or as he says – the most beautiful).
Love is another thing that makes me feel beautiful. It fulfils me, brings warmth to my heart and a smile to my face.
So girls, women, sisters, mothers, wives, girlfriends and daughters, don't strive for perfection, strive for being the best version of yourself. Do what makes you happy, follow your dreams, smile, live and just be happy. Love your imperfections cause those are the things that make us unique and special. Forget about what media is telling us how to look, love yourself for who you are. And when those days come, when you feel down or ugly, just remember: »It will pass« and play yourself some music and just dance… You are all beautiful.
