Barbara is one of my closest friends. She was the first one who agreed to pose for me and I feel very thankful for that.
She's an aspiring young woman, very creative (also a designer), imaginative, smart, ambitious, encouraging, positive and sensible about what is going on around her. We share many similar points of view on things and we have spent a lot of precious time together talking, lauging till crying, partying... Barbara is ambitious and entrepreneurial, she has the eye for the detail, she's always beautifully dressed and with a signature colorful lipstick. Her energy and positivism is realy contagious, I'm really happy I know her.
She shared with us her thoughts on beauty:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When i was in my teens I was one of the last generations that played most of the time outside exploring everything that was connected with nature and living things. I had a normal childhood. But i know the moment when internet came very vividly. It changed everything. It was a never ending source of everything I wanted to know as a teen. Just the kind of thing you don't want to give a person who is not grown up yet and bombard him with a hundred beliefs that are not his or hers.. I was also very shy as a teen and having a case of skin disorder called rosacea did not help either.
All those smiling faces from various web pages annoyed me so I decided to dwelve in the land of books. I knew I would get a lot more from books than wasting time watching tv shows that just made me feel less confident about myself. With books I had the power to choose my idols who had a lot more debth and gave me inner strenght. Doing things in my own way also slowly gave me a will of power to rebel againts mainstream opinions on what should I be and do as girl in puberty. I started to build a inner confidence. And that confidence was built on observing the world, what is right and wrong and how can that affect your life in the future.
A risk of losing yourself in this world, run by horrible social media bosses who dictate who you should be and how you should act, is now even more bigger. I see all of these women just lost in a deadly shower of confidence killers. Tthe attitude they present in campaigns and tv commercials gives a message of not conforming to particular lifestyle that encourages thinking differently and by that also acting differently. Being original. But if the originality is surpressed than also unique and original beauty is not celebrated.
It is hard to fight all those horrible bosses when they are so strong. For me the biggest step to standing up to them is self development. With self development you can gain respect for yourself and get that inner strenght. There are of course times when I break down but I have the mantra that if i will always stay a good person everything will be alright. And I still live by this rule today.
In my written story has no concrete answer to what makes me feel beautiful. It is a combination of experiences I gained throught my life where I learned that I'am the most happiest when I listen to myself and follow my own path. Being very shy was in some ways negative, but also in lots of ways positive. I realize some people are more smart, athletic, better public speakers, outgoing. But it doesn’t matter what someone else is. You hold your own talents inside you, talents that define you, make YOU you. No one will be able too see the world through your eyes and you have your own contribution jet to give. Even if it is in a form of a simple smile.
And that is my definition of beauty.

In which moments you FEEL beautiful and COMPLETE?
I feel beautiful in those little moments like reading a good book or helping someone who gives you back a look of gratitude. Or when I go on a walk and I see an animal that is aware of my presence. Moments like that make me enjoy life and they inspire me to live passionately so I can give back that feeling to other people.
